W&LE Railroad to Route 906 Pavement Preservation

This project, located in North Belle Vernon Borough and Rostraver Township, Westmoreland County, was completed in 2025. Improvements spanned from the Belle Vernon bridge to the I-70 bridge that crosses over the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad Bridge east of the Donora/Fayette City (Exit 43) interchange.

Project activities included milling and resurfacing, concrete patching, replacing inlet tops/inlet grates in the median, cleaning inlets and cross pipes, barrier repair, updating guiderail, signage, pavement markings, delineation, installation of fiber optic cable, and patching and paving of ramps.
